Target recently released their fall 2016 catalog and (no surprise here) we want everything.
But in addition to being affordable as always, the fuzzy pillows, colorful blankets and marble accent pieces, set to hit stores on September 11, are also the easiest way to outfit your home for the hibernation season.
“It’s all about updating the finishing touches. I like to change out pillows and throws each season to keep my spaces looking fresh and festive as the weather changes,” HGTV star Emily Henderson says of her own autumnal tweaks. “Places like Target are really great for that reason, because you can get that seasonally on-trend look without having to spend too much.”

Here are a few of Henderson’s best tips for a stylish upgrade that doesn’t decimate your Pumpkin Spice Latte fund.
Light It Up. “Lighting is important, both as a statement piece and for functionality,” she says. The Threshold Green Marble Hanging Table Lamp, and Threshold Harvest Wood and Metal Lamps are the perfect accents to bring in a bit of warmth and faux natural lighting during the changing seasons.”
Double-Duty Decor. “I’ve also found that serving trays that double as trinket holders are a great way to control clutter,” she says. This wood slice tray would look just as charming holding appetizers as it would on a living room table holding odds and ends.

New Neutral. “In terms of materials, marble is my go-to for a more neutral look,” she says. It works well in smaller pieces but also in larger accent furniture, such as bar carts.” Her favorite from this collection? “The marble cheeseboard feels so sophisticated,” she says. “And who doesn’t love a charcuterie board for fall?”
Gender Neutral. If you and your partner’s design styles don’t quite match up, there are ways to appeal to both sides (and both win). “There are certain patterns that appeal to both men and women – and plaid is one of them!” Henderson says. Drape a blanket over the couch or add in a throw pillow for a look that works for everyone.
Better mark your calendars for September 11 — these fall finds are bound to go fast!
