If the city's a jungle, few women will be prepared to fight the elements like Yigal Azrouël's. For Spring 2014, the designer armed his warriors in a uniform of mostly black or white (or both, when it came to the fiercest of abstract branch prints and colorblock stilettos). The result of sculpting, cutouts, and contrast marked Azrouël's message of "The vitality of light and architecture."
Transitioning to softer styles (in both color and shape) relaxed, neutral stone gray pieces, including the coolest of culottes and geometric jacquard patchwork that was anything but crafty, reflected the "confidence [and] effortless ease" of his "modern muse."
