Willow and Jaden Smith Pose for a Fashion Photoshoot, Say Things Like 'I Have a Goal to Be Just the Most Craziest Person of All Time'

Anyone who has followed the Twitter feeds of Willow Smith, 14, and Jaden Smith, 16, knows that the offspring of Will and Jada Smith have a thing for existential musings. But they managed to top even themselves in their first-ever joint interview for T Magazine, the two teen musicians, models and philosophers talk about why they hate school, love the universe and why their first duet is “like chocolate.”

The high-fashion duo is ready to collaborate more after deciding that the world is ready. “Me and Jaden just figured out that our voices sound like chocolate together,” Willow says in the Q & A. “As good as chocolate tastes, it sounds that good.” But their enthusiasm for their work doesn’t stop there. “As soon as me and Willow started releasing music, that’s one thing that the whole world took away is, okay, they unlocked another step of honesty. If these guys can be honest about everything, then we can be more honest,” Jaden says.

But while they take things like “ancient texts” and “breathing” very seriously, they say that fashion doesn’t get them too worked up. “Willow just dropped a song, let me quote the lyrics: ‘I do not care what people say.’ We both don’t really care,” Jaden says. “I like to wear things that I make, but I throw it on as though I was throwing on anything. It looks cool, sometimes.” Says his sister, “I like to go to places with my high-fashion things where there are a lot of cameras. So I can just go there and be like, ‘Yep yep, I’m looking so sick.’ But in my regular life, I put on clothes that I can climb trees in.”

The Smith kids make it clear in the interview that they know a lot, but none of their knowledge has come from school. “Here’s the deal: School is not authentic because it ends. It’s not true, it’s not real,” Jaden says. “Our learning will never end. The school that we go to every single morning, we will continue to go to.” Willow gave it a shot but in the end, agreed with her brother. “I went to school for one year. It was the best experience but the worst experience. The best experience because I was, like, ‘Oh, now I know why kids are so depressed.’ But it was the worst experience because I was depressed.”
