Have you bought anything you loved lately? In the PEOPLE StyleWatch offices, the answer to that question is usually “Yes.” Below, check out the chic dresses we (and style expert Bobbie Thomas) couldn’t resist, plus statement jewelry and a pair of shoes with the SJP stamp of approval.

Whitney Little, Associate Producer: “A woman can never have too many cat-related accessories.” I don’t remember if Elizabeth Taylor said that or if I did, but it’s absolutely true. My wardrobe is also filled with felines: I own a cat skirt, a cat cardigan, a cat T-shirt and a cat sweatshirt (I can stop at any time, I swear!). But I realized I needed a great cat ring, and Baublebar came to the rescue in the form of this piece, on clearance for only $10!
I wear the rose gold version (no longer available online) every day, and I love it so much I have my eyes on a second piece: This Catbird “Tiny Kitten” midi ring. I’ll try to show some restraint and not wear them both at once, but no promises.

Bobbie Thomas, style expert: I’m so ready for spring. I’ve been wistfully staring at runway dresses (Jason Wu is a favorite) and making lists of what I need to buy for a closet update, like a soft, sorbet-colored dress and a chic, sleek, stark white dress.
I adore BCBG’s whole 2013 spring collection, and was excited to score some slip dresses on sale, including this marked-down “Kaley” style. The lingerie-inspired sheaths layered over leather leggings or tights and boots are great “shoulder season wear,” while perfect to slip on solo with sandals too.
But all of these sleeveless dresses mean I can’t hide my skin under sweaters anymore. On a mission to get my glow back, I’ve been on a body oil kick, and I’m also thinking a lot about armpits in my role as an ambassador for Dove deodorant — gotta make sure those are looking good too before I bare arms!

Brittany Talarico, Associate Style Editor: I pride myself on not paying full price for anything. (I blame this on my mom, the bargain queen, who could find Juicy jumpsuits for $20 when everyone was wearing them in 2001.) But when you find yourself at a pop-up shop in N.Y.C. with Sarah Jessica Parker‘s gorgeous new shoe collection, it’s hard to resist the urge to splurge.
And when Sarah Jessica Parker happens to be there shopping with you, it’s IMPOSSIBLE. Yes, SJP told me to buy these shoes. She helped me pick them out. We held hands and even hugged. It was a magical experience, that I’ll never stop talking about. My only regret is not capturing it on video. (Don’t believe me? Here’s proof!)
I went for the beautifully made “The Lady” style — I love the grosgrain fabric up the back. I justified the price in my head ($350, GULP!) by counting how many fun occasions I have to wear them to this year. I’m also glad I got them quickly, as they’re already sold out!

Alex Apatoff, Style News Editor: First things first: I wore the dress from my last What We’re Buying to the Oscars and it worked out great. I did not even consider wearing a bathrobe as a last resort and it was a good buy overall. But my “event dress” needs didn’t stop there. I have 11 (count ‘em) weddings coming up this year, with all the bachelorette party and shower and rehearsal dinner and bridesmaid brunch dresses that entails as well, which means I’m always on the lookout for something fun and inexpensive.
So you best believe I was scouring The Outnet‘s clearance sale today looking for some majorly marked-down treasures. I landed on this striped Issa dress, which has “June wedding in N.Y.C.” written all over it and was $124. It’s final sale so cross your fingers for me! (I’ve still got the “meltdown bathrobe” handy just in case.)
