This Week's Best Dressed: It's as Clear as Black and White

Taylor Swift InStyleBrock Miller / Splash News Online

This week’s race for Best Dressed was a neck-and-neck black-and-white faceoff (we told you the color combo is really big right now), with the top three falling within a 500-vote difference at press time.

Reigning supreme was Jennifer Hudson, who proved you don’t have to wear a single pop of color to stand out on the red carpet. Her white Yigal Azrouel dress, accessorized with black pumps at the Power of Women event, was the very definition of figure-flaunting, and her fresh take on the peplum is likely what set her apart from the rest of the competition. And okay, we lied. She sported just the right hit of color via her wine-colored pout.

Giving Jennifer a run for her money was Charlize Theron, who also brought her LWD out for a spin at the Power of Women event (hers was a draped Stella McCartney mini with what we’re dubbing the “cutout turtleneck”). And Sandra Bullock rounded out the top three in a black strapless Antonio Berardi dress with white side panels at the USC Shoah Foundation Institute gala. And if you think that look is worthy of Best Dressed, you should see her other black-and-white number at the London premiere of Gravity (it’s our personal favorite of her press tour so far!).

PHOTOS: See what other stars wore on the red carpet this week!

So clearly black-and-white is back in a major way — and getting some serious love from readers. Did you like Jennifer’s take on the trend, or do you prefer Charlize or Sandra’s style? Or are you dying for some pops of color to make their way back to the red carpet?
