Some dreams do come true! Taylor Swift revealed to Us Weekly at the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute Gala in New York City on May 5 it was "a daydream realized" to wear a custom Oscar de la Renta gown.

The 24-year-old looked more than sophisticated in a floor length blush satin faced organza gown with matte gold sequins, pearl beads, silver lined seed beads, rose gold metallic threadwork leaves, and organza petal embroidery. Swift paired the gown with Lorraine Schwartz jewels, Christian Louboutin shoes, and an Edie Parker clutch.

Swift admitted: "Oscar de la Renta is the designer I've idolized since I was a little girl," adding, "Having an opportunity to wear a one-of-kind gown designed by him is a daydream realized."

The "22" singer got ready for the big night at The Surrey Hotel with her BFF, model Karlie Kloss.
Swift posted a pic to her Instagram of her and Kloss puckering up, holding a glass of champagne, with the caption: "Hair/makeup/Motown dance party @karliekloss."
