Tabatha Coffey has ascended to international stardom as a stylist, author, style icon, and host of her own Bravo reality show Tabatha Takes Over. Originally about helping struggling hair salons, the show now covers all varieties of small business. Watch Tabatha dish no-nonsense tips on hair and business in the clips above!
Keys to modern business
While businesses have undoubtedly had to adapt to the modern world, Tabatha insists that the core fundamentals are still the same. "Good customer service, good product, and a professional attitude" are still the most important, says Tabatha. "But you have to flexible."
Social media
The current obstacle to be dealt with, for any small business, is definitely, according to Tabatha, "social media." With everything being so "instantaneous" in this day and age, socially media serves as an amazing tool that can "help - and hinder - a small business." Social media can help business connect with people, serve as an extension of the company's personality, and even expand their reach to new customers. Communication is a two way street though - customers can also respond to poor service or a "bad experience" with the product in a direct way, making a small business's customer service even more crucial to their success.
