She might not be ready to plan her wedding, but when it comes to her dress, Sofia Vergara knows exactly what she wants.
“When the time comes it has to be Vera Wang,” Vergara told PEOPLE at her Kmart fall and holiday clothing line preview in N.Y.C. on Wednesday. “Her dresses are amazing … they are perfect. She knows my body so well. I want something modern and elegant. I’ve been married before so nothing too traditional or crazy.”
The Modern Family star, 41, left the world slack-jawed (as per usual) at the Emmys, selecting a scarlet lace-embellished mermaid gown by Wang, and it’s probably a safe bet that she’ll be walking down the aisle in a very similar silhouette. (Her red carpet résumé includes looks like this, this and this.)
“Picking the dress will be the one easy thing to do,” Vergara shared. “The rest is going to take lots of time.”
And don’t be surprised if the actress shows off some décolletage on her big day.
“I still take advantage of the cleavage,” she said. “While I have it, why not flaunt it? Who knows how long I’ll have it looking this way. So I’m still taking advantage.”
The actress admits she’s in no rush to get hitched, revealing that she and her fiancé, businessman Nick Loeb, 38, already act like husband and wife.
“I don’t see a difference from what I’m living right now. I feel like we are already married,” she said. “We live together, and we travel together. We know each other’s family. So really it’s just a huge party to plan. That’s the only difference.”

In the meantime, TV’s highest earning actress is concentrating on her chic and affordable Kmart clothing line, Sofia by Sofia Vergara, which consists of maxi dresses, blazers, shape wear and handbags. Her advice to women wanting to look sexy and slim is to “enhance your favorite body part.”
“I always say to work with what you got. If you have a good pair of legs, wear mini skirts. If you have beautiful eyes, try to wear colors that enhance your eyes,” she said.
