Should We Be Alarmed That SJP Is Trying To Make This Catch On?

Sarah Jessica Parker Street StyleSplash News Online; Pacific Coast News; Startraks;

Sarah Jessica Parker has started so many trends over the years, it’s hard to keep count— hellooooo massive flower pin! Now, it looks like the always-fashionable SJP is up for a challenge, trying to make a more, er, interesting look happen. Lately, every time she’s stepped out in a pair of denim, she’s had them cuffed in a very peculiar way.

Mostly, Parker’s been adding a giant cuff to her skinny jeans for a tight Capri effect. She even tried the look on gray skinnies for a red carpet event (the better to show off her footwear, we assume!) She’s rolled up super-tight light denim and added socks pulled up to the hem. And Parker even attempted an advanced maneuver, loosely cuffing the floppy bottoms of a pair of flares.

But it was a recent outing with her husband that really gave us pause: She went for the asymmetrical peg. Her girlie cardigan and Michael Stars drawstring denim were as stylish and cool as we’ve come to expect from the actress and fashion designer. But rolling up just one pant leg? That may be a little too 98° circa 1999 for us to allow.

So what do you think of SJP’s majorly pegged jeans? Would you wear your denim this way?
