How does one top the cover of People's Most Beautiful issue? If you're a confirmed style icon like Lupita Nyong'o, the only higher peak to reach is Vogue. Well, the Academy Award-winning actress just scaled her Everest, because she landed the fashion bible's July cover.
And all the while we were admiring Lupita's Moroccan vacation, she was really giving us something to envy because she was shooting an opulent spread for the issue.
Another secret revealed by the July issue is how deep her fashion roots go; growing up in Kenya, the actress designed her own clothing "because it was cheaper than buying retail," she told the magazine. Among those creations: her prom dress. "It was a velvet miniskirt with a matching little top and an iridescent silver translucent fabric that flowed to the ground," she recalled.
