Miley Cyrus may not have spent very much of 2013 fully dressed, but when she was, she was usually wearing Marc Jacobs (see: Here, here and here) — and she looked amazing in his designs. So it’s no surprise that after weeks of buzz, Jacobs has confirmed that Cyrus will be the face of his spring ad campaign.
“Secret’s out, @MileyCyrus stars in the MJ SS14 Campaign shot by David Sims!” the designer tweeted Wednesday night along with the full ad photo (a few images had leaked). Cyrus herself had previewed the photo by making it her Twitter avatar a few days ago; shortly after Jacobs made it official, she summed up her excitement thusly:

In October, Cyrus spoke to HungerTV about Jacobs’s fashion mentorship, saying “I work a lot with Marc Jacobs. He kind of brought me into fashion when I was 16, that was when I started being around him and just learning from him. He let me inspire some of his pieces and now I feel like it’s just about having the right people around you.”
Of course, she’s posed for Jacobs before — notably nude on a T-shirt meant to promote skin cancer awareness. But this is Cyrus’s first major ad campaign, which means not only has she been accepted into the world of high fashion, but that we may see less of this and more of her cool-girl glam from here on out. Hey, we did request that Jacobs take over as her stylist. Maybe dreams do come true!
