Milan Fashion Week: Dolce & Gabbana Celebrates Motherhood with Cute Children (and a Pregnant Model!) on the Catwalk

Dolce & Gabbana saluted women around the world at its fall/winter 2015 show, which featured babies, children and a pregnant model on the runway to celebrate the heart of all families: mothers.

The Italian brand’s designers, Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana, paid tribute to motherhood in its “Viva la Mamma” runway presentation. Eleven models walked with their own children while donning the collection’s feminine, colorful, rose-covered silk dresses and skirts. The children in the show also wore designs from the label — matching dresses for the girls and suits for the boys.

Pregnant model and Dolce & Gabbana muse Bianca Balti (she’s the brand’s Light Blue ambassador) also walked in the show, showing off her six-month baby bump in a blush-colored dress. The idea of celebrating family on the runway isn’t new for the brand. Its men’s collection also paid homage to relatives spending time together.

And moms and babies weren’t the only models to hit the Dolce & Gabbana runway. Supermodels Karlie Kloss and Gigi Hadid strutted alongside the children and snapped some super-cute photos backstage.
