Technical difficulties prevented Consuelo Castiglioni from playing the music she wanted to go along with Marni's Spring 2014 show on Sunday morning (guests should have heard Sid Vicious's "My Way"), but the clothes created harmonies of their own. The designer sent an array of sporty separates and dresses, some in the house's signature floral prints and some in solid colors, down her silent runway. And by sporty, we mean these garments looked fresh and easy to move in - and all of them were paired with visors to reinforce that sentiment.
A closer look revealed a few different levels of workmanship. Many of the solid and floral pieces included gentle pleats or rusching to accentuate the wearer's body, while others were cut to be boxy. And then there were the pieces that layered together a lot of different ideas, like the black coat dress covered in yellow flowers and affixed with ruffled bustle for good measure.
