Maria Menounos’s Monochromatic Makeup: Into It or Over It?

There’s a nude lip, and then there’s a nude lip. And Maria Menounos is definitely rocking the latter at the 2013 Emmys tonight.

The TV host (and PEOPLE StyleWatch columnist!) hit the red carpet in a cobalt strapless gown and about six zillion carats worth of jewels around her neck. Though it was hard to tear our eyes away from that insane necklace, once we spotted her lipstick, it suddenly was all we could see.

We love a nude lip on a lady, especially to counteract a smoky eye, but somehow Menounos managed to find a shade the exact same color as her skin — and if you squint, her lips disappear entirely.

Is this working for her, or are you wishing for just a hint more pink or red to make her pout pop just a bit?
