We shouldn't be surprised anymore when Lady Gaga goes and transforms herself, but we were still stunned when we saw her latest high-fashion magazine shoot. We've never seen Gaga look so... dreamy.
The "Applause" singer stars on the October 2013 cover of Elle, photographed by Ruth Hogben for a rather avant-garde shot (for Elle, at least). With minimal makeup and only half her face showing, Gaga's image comes across as a delicate whisper rather than her typical "look at me" scream.
Inside the mag, the fashion spread is even more subtle, featuring pastel pieces by Versace and Dries van Noten shot in hazy light. Sure, she's got her wig back on. But somehow, styled so elegantly by Brandon Maxwell, Gaga looks so naturally herself.
