Come Summer, it's so easy to slide into flats or flip-flops for off-duty errands, or to throw on heeled sandals when you want a dressier effect. So after recent snaps of Kristen Wiig and Emily Blunt using sneakers to finish off their looks grabbed our attention, it felt revolutionary. Why aren't we wearing sneakers more often?
Normally, we would've expected Kristen to finish off her salmon-colored jeans, black motorcycle jacket, and structured clutch with a pair of nude or black pumps, so imagine our surprise when we spotted those black leather high-tops! The more casual shoe didn't make her look less professional, and it totally suited her for a stop in at a BBC radio station in London.
Emily also dressed up her kicks a bit with slouchy printed pants and a silky tee. Typically, we'd reach for a trusty pair of ballerinas when styling a similar look, but the tomboy feel of her suede lace-ups is a nice surprise.
