Kim Kardashian West has been radio silent on social media since the Oct. 3 Paris jewelry robbery that found her tied up, gagged, and held at at gunpoint. But in an interview given in Vogue before the horrific heist, the 35-year-old reality star said she couldn’t live with the Internet.
In a fun game of “Would You Rather” for the fashion magazine’s YouTube channel, Kardashian West got real about her priorities — choosing to live without air-conditioning and heat rather than unplugging from the World Wide Web.
“Dewey is good — we could put on some nice coats,” she joked.
She may be feeling differently now. Since the attack, reports have emerged that the mother of two is being more cautious about her life and scaling back on oversharing on social media.
“I think it’s just a wake up call to make a lot of life adjustments,” sister Khloé Kardashian explained on The Ellen DeGeneres Show Tuesday. “This is a really serious matter for Kim. I think that’s really personal, as to that emotional terror [and when] you could move on from that. It’s a wake up call for all of us.”
According to Khloé, Kim is pulling back on social media “just [to] make sure we’re protected as well as possible.”

“Like I said, we’re a family, we’ll do this together,” she continued. “I think it’s important to make those adjustments and to pull back a little bit I think is always smart.”
Sources previously told PEOPLE Kim is “blaming herself” for showcasing her ring on social media, which may have led robbers to target the reality star.
Elsewhere in the Vogue game, the Keeping Up with the Kardashians chose to fly rather than be invisible — a trip her daughter North wants to take to “fly up to heaven…to see her grandmother for her birthday.”
Kim also said had a hard time choosing between McDonalds or Chinese take-out. “Ugh, both at the same time,” she confessed. Though McD’s won out in the end, she was sure to let fans know “both are so good.”
