Barneys New York announced Wednesday that rapper-slash-mogul Jay-Z will be outshining the Christmas tree at their holiday launch this year. For his “A New York Holiday” line for the luxury department store, the star partnered with A-list designers including Balenciaga, Proenza Schouler and Balmain to create limited-edition items ranging from $70 for a tee to $33,900 for the Shawn Carter by Hublot watch that comes with alligator straps and yellow-gold movement, according to WWD.
Starting Nov. 20, you too can get your hands on an item from the BNY SCC (that would be Barneys New York and Shawn Corey Carter) collection at stores and at Barneys.com, and 25% of proceeds will benefit the Shawn Carter Scholarship Foundation. And we’ve already started putting together a shopping guide for the perfect person to purchase all his goodies: Jay-Z’s BFF and connoisseur of the finer things in life, Gwyneth Paltrow.
