Anna Kendrick once revealed that her beauty routine was pretty lax, relying on tinted lip balms and minimal concealer to round out her look. But lately, the star has stepped up her makeup game to include luxury skin-care items, drugstore bargains and more. Curious about what products she uses? Good, because Kendrick just shared all her secrets in a new interview.

She starts her routine with her skin. To perfect her dewy glow, the Into the Woods actress depends on luxe brands like Kate Somerville, SK-II and Koh Gen Do, but can’t resist a good drugstore deal, like Aveeno’s Smart Essentials Moisturizer (SPF 30) and Schick Intuition razors (you know, the ones with the built-in shaving cream). “If you’re not using Intuition razors, you’re wasting everybody’s time. It cuts your shower time in half,” she told The New York Times. “Whenever I hear someone is still using a separate shave gel, it’s like hearing they still use dial-up Internet.”
The star’s really gotten into lip products lately, too. To keep her pout chapped-free, she relies on lip creams. “I have this one by Hourglass; it’s an oil with this gold-tip applicator, and it’s schmancy-schmancy,” she said. “When you get to the point that your lips are cracking, the price is worth it.”

To get even-looking skin on and off the red carpet, Kendrick uses Bobbi Brown’s Long-Wear Even Finish foundation — in two different shades. “I actually blend the 0 and the 3.25 shades together because that’s what my makeup artist did for Into the Woods,” she explained. “I would not have thought to blend two colors that aren’t side by side on the color spectrum, but it looks gorgeous.”

Surprisingly, when she’s not filming or working on upcoming projects, Kendrick doesn’t spend her free time relaxing in the salon. In fact, the experience is less than serene for the star. “I find getting my nails done the most tedious thing,” she said, adding, “I’m such a fidgety person; it’s like torture.”
But what about massages? “Everybody loves massages; I don’t know what my problem is. I feel like I have to talk to the masseuses. Pretty soon, I’m asking for their grandma’s recipe for apple pie and pretending like I’m interested. Why? Besides, I’d rather do this face to face when their hands aren’t all over my naked body.”
