Beauty addicts, the time has finally come: After what seemed like a decade of makeup legend Pat McGrath teasing us with photos of her new Skin Fetish 003 highlighting kits, today is the day that you can finally get your hands on them. But before you do so, consider yourself warned: you’ll be instantly addicted.

McGrath gave PeopleStyle an inside look at the two kits. One is warm-toned and one cool-toned, but both contain a dome of iridescent pigment, a double-sided highlighting stick with a sheer balm and a shimmery cream, and a fluffy applicator brush. “It’s all about the secrets of how I have been doing that gorgeous skin for every job and show that I’ve ever done in my career for the past 20 years. You know that real backstage secret that everyone used to come up to me and go, ‘what’s that?’ and I’d be like, ‘[Evil laugh].’ I’d let one part sneak out but not all three — until now.”

Yes, it’s so amazing that her big-name clients like Kim Kardashian (who just revealed her major shoot with McGrath), Cara Delevingne, Gigi and Bella Hadid and virtually every other model under the sun were the only people in on her secret for the past two decades. McGrath advises wearing it “on the lips, on the nose, anywhere on the face, mixing the colors together.”

I tried the product on my cheekbones, and found that it was so easy to use, each look was done in 10 seconds flat. For work (at left) I simply applied the gold end of the double-sided stick straight to my cheekbones, and blended it with my finger, which gave me a noticeable (but not over-the-top) glow that shined in every light. Later (at right), after applying the sheer argan balm (which has tiny mica flecks to add the slightest hint of shimmer), I used the included brush to swipe the pigment on top. Layering the two created a glossy, mega-watt highlighted look, perfect for any night out.

McGrath guarantees that her products are not only usable on all skin tones, they’re also a great find for women of all ages. “We did try it on all age groups,” she says. “Your eyes are brighter, you look younger. And if you’ve got crow’s feet, they’re softened because there’s moisture [in the pigment], there’s not a dryness or a base of powder. It’s instant youth.”
Each kit will be available on Patmcgrath.com Tuesday, but if you miss the first run, don’t panic: For the first time, her kits will also be available online at sephora.com and in select Sephora stores starting May 10.
