Emma Watson is taking her role as the book-loving Belle in Beauty and the Beast to another level.
The actress, who headlines the upcoming live-action adaptation of the beloved Disney musical, has been hiding books throughout London’s subway network.
On her Instagram, the actress posted a video of herself placing a copy of Mom & Me & Mom, by Maya Angelou, on an escalator so a curious reader could pick it up.
And it’s far from a random act: Watson’s book sharing stems from a collaboration between her female-focused book club, called Our Shared Shelf, and Books on the Underground, a community project that encourages people to hide their favorite books for others to discover.
Mom & Me & Mom is the November and December pick for Watson’s book club. It’s a memoir that tracks Angelou’s relationship with her mother, which transformed from one of pain to one of deep love.
Not only is Watson giving away copies of her favorite book, the actress has also supposedly been leaving notes in each copy she’s hidden, according to an Instagram post by Books on the Underground.
“Will your morning be worth talking about?” states the post, which appeared on Wednesday. “More copies of Mom&Me&Mom will hit the London Underground today with @emmawatson’s note inside…”
Books on the Underground’s Instagram also left clues for anyone lucky enough to be in London:
Her book club isn’t the only thing keeping Watson busy these days: The Harry Potter actress is gearing up for the release of Beauty and the Beast, and on Wednesday, Entertainment Weekly released an exclusive look at Watson, who plays Belle, and costar Dan Stevens, who takes on the role of Beast.
Beauty and the Beast hits theaters on March 17, 2017.
