Though it was Karlie Kloss who opened the Cusnie et Ochs spring 2014 show, it was not her white dress that stole all the attention -- that white dress came later.
Carly Cushnie and Michelle Ochs, best-friends-turned-design-partners, are the two women responsible for one of the hottest emerging labels at NYFW -- though emerging might not quite be the right word. These ladies have already dressed the likes of Selena Gomez, Lily Collins and Michelle Obama. Known for creating fashion-forward and versatile pieces, the duo delivered this season, producing a collection full of cut-outs and monochromatic looks that would leave any fashionista drooling.
Though we adored just about every garment, our favorite was a strapless, white billowy dress that came down the runway in the middle of the show. What we love about the look is how sexy it is without being too obvious -- oversized maxi dress doesn't usually scream sex appeal, but somehow this one did. Maybe it was the exposed shoulders, or perhaps it was the slit up the front. Either way, this is all we want to wear come spring.
