Peter Dundas has never been one to shy away from pattern or color, but he infused heavy doses of both into Emilio Pucci's Spring 2014 collection. The designer stitched together a number or references, including some distinctly tribal motifs, hip hop street wear, athletic gear, and '80s club attire, into a lineup of vibrant and delightfully incongruous pieces.
To wit: Dundas gave us basketball shorts (the abbreviated ones from the '70s, not today's long mesh affairs) cut from a silver material with a mirror-like finish. He took the toughness out of a leather shirt with sparkly embroidery and beading, and he elevated what would have been a standard blue tracksuit by covering it in sequins and leaving on its sporty zippers.
