Another season of America’s favorite show about a man who dates a harem of beautiful women who all inexplicably fall in love with him in a matter of weeks (if not minutes) has finally come to its inevitable conclusion. And while we know you were all glued to your TV sets Monday night, feverishly taking in every delicious dramatic moment of The Bachelor finale with a bucket of popcorn at hand (and maybe a bottle of wine), there’s still a few crucial big night details you didn’t get to see on air.

It turns out, both JoJo Fletcher and Lauren Bushnell had backup dresses for their big proposal moment that didn’t make the cut. As we learned on Monday, while the girls are provided with options from the show’s stylist Cary Fetman, ultimately, they get to choose their own dresses. So instead of that stunning cobalt blue sheath dress from Badgley Mishka winner Lauren ultimately ended up wearing when Ben popped the question, she almost went with a very fitting (but perhaps overly symbolic for the producer’s liking) white, strapless gown that would have made the finale a foreshadowing of all the bridal goodness yet to come from this newly betrothed couple.

While Lauren’s second choice was still very much in line with her general style aesthetic for the evening, JoJo’s could not have been more opposite. Instead of the pale pink, almost animal print-inspired sequined dress she ended up wearing, she was also considering a show-stopping, glittery gold one-shoulder option.

But the choice in finale dress is just one of many little behind-the-scenes moments most fans totally missed out on. Here’s five more facts any Bachelor-devotee worth her salt needs to know right now.
Each girl was given 18 dresses to choose between for their final look
And Ben thought he had a tough decision to make.
The finalists all get to keep their dress.
“I’m not about to go up to someone who just got engaged or dumped and ask for her dress back,” Fetman says. Smart man.
Both girls wore almost identical Suzanne Kalan earrings to the rose ceremony
Making Ben’s choice just a little bit more confusing.
JoJo’s after show dress was Alexander Wang
And that pale pink shade on JoJo’s finale nails can finally be all yours
People has learned exclusively that the color is “OPI Bubble Bath with a ‘touch of pink’.” Feel free to thank us now for the best manicure of your life.
