Demi Lovato may very well be “Confident,” but when it comes to visiting the spa, she’d rather you not chit-chat with her during, er, special services.

“I was getting laser hair removal…down south…and the lady started talking about how her kid was a huge fan,” Lovato confesses to Allure. “Boundaries.”
Lovato, who graces the cover of the mag’s February issue, also opens up to the glossy about an early experience not meeting Hollywood’s unrealistic standards of beauty during her Disney Channel days.
“I signed with Disney Channel when I got Camp Rock, and I had a gap between my two front teeth,” she shares. “They were like, ‘Would you be willing to fix it?’; I wish today that I hadn’t, because my gap was really cute.”

Lovato also cites her mom as one of her biggest confidants and the one person who’s introduced her to the world of beauty, which led the star to launch her own skincare and makeup lines — Devonne by Demi and Lovatics by Demi, respectively — both of which have been met with great success.
“…She was a Dallas Cowboys cheerleader. She’s very Southern,” she tells Allure. “She told me at a young age never go to even 7-11 without makeup on. I obviously don’t do that.”
And now, with two giant beauty lines, Lovato might have to start thinking about her next cosmetics project. A nail care line, perhaps?
“I do my own manicure several times a week,” she says. “I’ll do the cuticles. I’ll do everything. It’s kind of my new obsession.”
