There are numerous music legends slated to perform at the 2016 CMA Awards, but could the star-wattage be even brighter than already promised?
Multiple sources confirm to PEOPLE that Beyoncé is currently in Nashville, which just happens to be where the CMAs will be airing from live tonight on ABC.
The Lemonade creator is not known as a country singer, but she wouldn’t be the first recording artists to cross genre lines at the CMAs. Justin Timberlake hit the stage with country star Chris Stapleton at the 2015 awards to perform their tracks “Tennessee Whiskey” and “Drink You Away.”
But what would Beyoncé perform?
A duet with one of the previously announced performers — of which there are many — is not out of the question. Or Queen Bey could do a solo performance of one of her originals. (Lemonade‘s country-twinged “Daddy Lessons”?) Or even a cover of a country classic.
