Just because it wasn’t as dramatic as some of the other mane changes this week (see Kesha’s lime green locks and Christina Milian’s heart-shaped undercut), doesn’t mean our jaws didn’t drop when we saw Bethenny Frankel’s totally new auburn-tinged bob.

The 44-year-old Real Housewives of New York star took to Twitter and Instagram to show off her new look, captioning the photo, “Go Shawty! #theBisback” She thanked Serge Normant stylist DJ Quintero for her shorter do, and shared that those tinted red ombre locks are courtesy Gina Gilbert. She channeled her inner “B” in a leather moto jacket and cool-girl black frames.

While we’ve never known the star with anything but her long, chocolate-brown waves (we’re not counting this blonde moment!) this is definitely a first for the Skinny Girl businesswoman. She’s probably gearing up for summer in the Hamptons — and since she’s lost the length, we’re hoping she goes even lighter next.
