Sophie Hunter is positively glowing.
The mom-to-be, who is expecting her second child with husband Benedict Cumberbatch, was on hand to support the actor Monday at the New York City premiere of his film Doctor Strange.
While Cumberbatch, 40, kept it traditional in a dark suit and tie, Hunter, 38, opted to conceal her baby bump under a bronze-colored, button-down dress featuring a high collar and unique geometric pattern. She completed the look with natural makeup and a pretty pink lip.
“It’s really incredible,” Cumberbatch tells PEOPLE of having Hunter, who debuted her baby bump on Oct. 20 at the Los Angeles premiere of Doctor Strange, at his side to support him.

One person who’ll likely be extra excited about his dad’s starring role in a superhero film? Soon-to-be big brother Christopher “Kit” Carlton, 16 months.
In fact, when asked whether he had any Doctor Strange-themed toys he’d be willing to pass on to his son, Cumberbatch tells PEOPLE, “Yes, many. We’ll wait and see.”

For the film, the English actor had to put on an American accent. But for him, that wasn’t the most out-of-the-box part of the experience.
“It’s weirder watching yourself in front of film this size, at the L.A. premiere, the world premiere of it,” Cumberbatch says. “Yet somehow, because of the thousands of other people involved, you can sit back and enjoy the other people’s work as well.”
He adds humbly, “It’s not all about you. I kind of got over myself.”
