Eliminated contestant Alexandra had earned her way back into the competition on "America's Next Top Model," but she wasn't doing much better her second time around. The judges called her out for her lackluster performance in her first photoshoot back. You'd think a second chance would motivate you to give more energy, but that wasn't the case.
While hearing the critiques, something else happened, too. She revealed that she had some sort of issue with her heart, which was apparently causing her to get very dizzy moments before the elimination. "I feel so freaking sick. This has nothing to do with panel," she insisted. "Like, everything’s like blurry. I’m just, like, so dizzy.”
Alexandra said that the last time she had an episode like that, she wound up in the hospital for a week and a half. This time, however, she simply went backstage and had to lay down. So she wasn't there for the elimination, meaning the executive producer had to give her the news that it was the end of her time in the competition -- again -- while she was lying there.
But Eric Shorey of NewNowNext wasn't buying it. "Girl, if you have to say your dizzy spell isn’t about what happened at judging, it probably is," he wrote. And he wasn't alone. Buddy TV's Jennifer Lind-Westbrook was suspicious, too, writing, "She says she's had a rapid heart rate for over a year. One would think this type of issue could be treated and monitored fairly easily ... If [she wasn’t] eliminated, how [would she have moved] forward when she's so ill?”
