Miley Cyrus spent so much of 2013 exposing her tongue, licking things, people, and animals, that the Cut just assumed she has pica. But as she reveals to Barbara Walters during her interview on Barbara Walters Presents: The 10 Most Fascinating People of 2013, she's actually just really awkward in photos. "I’m so embarrassed, because people are taking pictures of me, and I just don’t know how to — I don’t know how to smile, and just be awkward, so I stick my tongue out, because I don’t know what else to do," she said. It's just like a security blanket. A nice, wet security blanket. That's something to work on, Miley: being as comfortable with your smile in photos as you are with your butt in high-cut leotards.
