Any girl who has pinched her pennies for a pair of to-die-for shoes or a stunning statement bag knows there’s nothing quite like the experience of owning them. And 90 CFDA members, from Prabal Gurung to Monique Lhuillier, agree, which is why they’ve teamed up with eBay for the third annual “You Can’t Fake Fashion” initiative, dedicated to fighting counterfeiting in the fashion industry.
Each designer put his or her own spin on the basic “You Can’t Fake Fashion” tote (which will be available for $50 on March 18, when the auction goes live), and eBay offered us a sneak peek at the creations of four of our favorite designers.

Diane Von Furstenberg (above, left) spiced up the simple style with playful lip prints. Zac Posen (top right) went for his signature drama, draping the tote with navy tulle and winding ribbon around the handles.
The Marchesa team (bottom right) created a glamorous clutch using the tote’s canvas, finishing the look with a crystal clasp and Marchesa details on the inside. And Rachel Roy (left) has already taken her bag, a square shoulder bag with chic snake-embossed leather details, for a spin.
Dying to get your hands on these one-of-a-kind finds? They’ll be available for auction starting at $100 when the sale goes live at noon on eBay.com March 18. Proceeds benefit the CFDA Foundation, a not-for-profit company that organizes charitable initiatives on behalf of CFDA designers.
